Culver City, CA ---to---> San Luis Obispo, CA

So Clifford got towed to a repair place and was fixed during the weekend. I guess some sort of electrical harness got messed up and burned up so it had to be replaced :(

But Clifford is now back in my possession and running strong. I took the train down to Union Station this morning, then took a bus for an hour to Culver City to go pick him up. Then I drove us back up to Slo.

Leucadia, CA ---to---> Culver City, CA

I left Leucadia on my way back to SLO today. However, after picking up Myles at LAX, we only made it about 20 minutes further on the 405 before Clifford had some troubles. The check engine light came on and all of the sudden Clifford started sputtering like he was running out of gas. We pulled off the freeway, checked the oil and the gas, etc. But we couldn't tell what was wrong. Of the 10 or so auto repair places we called, not a single one was open.

After starting Clifford back up, we determined the problem to be electrical when burning wire smoke came out of the ignition inside the car. We drove Clifford to a residential neighborhood where we had to ditch him :(

My dad ended up coming and picking us up and was able to drive us to SLO. What's in store for Clifford? I don't know....

San Luis Obispo, CA ---to---> Leucadia, CA

Just took on the 5 hour drive by myself on Christmas day to make it back home for Christmas dinner. Well worth it as always to be home :). I was surprised though by how many people were driving on Christmas day! Hmmm I guess its just straight up impossible to make it through Los Angeles without hitting traffic....

Be on the lookout for my truck when I head back to SLO in about a week!

Joshua Tree, CA ----to---> San Luis Obispo, CA

After some super fun camping/bouldering/skating in Joshua Tree, I set out on my way to San Luis Obispo where I will stay until school starts again late September. Have you seen My Purple Truck in slo? Write about it here!

Leucadia, CA ----to---> Joshua Tree, CA

I just (kinda) finished the camper shell! There is still more painting to be done and windows to be installed but for the most part, its done! And I finished just in time to take it on a climbing trip to Joshua Tree, CA with friends! I leave tomorrow (August 20) around lunch time from Leucadia, CA.

Also, this is the first post on this new blog of mine. In this blog, I will document where I drive My Purple Truck. His name is Clifford, and if you are reading this, then you must have seen us out on the road somewhere!
